HARI LUALHATI: "Washed in the Blood of the Lamb" Oil Painting

Washed in the Blood of the Lamb

(Title)

Artist: HARI LUALHATI

Medium: Oil on Aluminium Panel

Size: 71.5cm x 71.5 cm x 6cm

"In my artistic journey, I affectionately refer to all my creations as "Soulworks" because they are a profound reflection of the life lessons and realizations that have guided me on my quest to become a better version of myself. These artworks serve as a direct connection to my soul, a conduit through which I express my deepest convictions.

Among these Soulworks, I am delighted to introduce "Washed in the Blood of the Lamb." This piece is a visual testament to the sacrificial blood of Christ, a symbol of His ultimate act of love and redemption. Let me take you on a journey through the symbolism interwoven within this Soulwork.

The Lamb: At the heart of this painting, the lamb symbolizes Jesus Christ. Just as a sacrificial lamb, He offered His life on the cross so that we, who believe, may find life and salvation.

White Blood: The main figure and the lamb are partially submerged in a pool of white. This pristine hue represents the blood of Christ, transformed into purity and holiness. It is a tribute to His immaculate sacrifice for our salvation.

The Main Figure: This central portrait, an embodiment of myself and, in a broader sense, all of humanity, stands soaked in this "white blood." Her baptism, symbolized by her wet hair, signifies a declaration of faith in Christ – a public confession of our unwavering commitment to Him.

Raised Left Arm: My choice to raise the left arm holds personal significance, as I am a left-handed artist. It's through this very hand that I breathe life into my Soulworks, a gesture of creative devotion.

Red Blood on the Left Hand: Blood, as a symbol of life, is prominently featured on the left hand. In my interpretation, it signifies my life's purpose – to utilize the talents bestowed upon me by God to share the profound lessons I've learned through Him with the world through my Soulworks. In essence, it embodies our responsibility to use the life we've been given for a greater purpose.

The phrase "washed in the blood" describes the act of accepting the gift of salvation offered by Jesus. His perfect sacrifice has cleansed us from sin and made us new creations. This piece is a tribute to the sacrifices and boundless love of Christ, reminding us that through His cleansing, we are reborn and made holy.

The "emotional eyes" of the main figure seek to connect with you, whispering to your heart a heartfelt wish – that we may all be "washed in the blood" of Jesus, purified and redeemed by His selfless act of love.

In honoring the sacrifice and immense love of Christ, this Soulwork stands as a tribute to the new life we find in Him, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares. As the Hebrews 10:10 reminds us, we have been sanctified through the body of Jesus Christ, a once-for-all sacrifice.

May this artwork resonate with your soul and inspire you to reflect on the profound gift of salvation through Christ."
